Year 9 Curriculum Option Form — Warminster School

In Year 9, pupils follow a broad curriculum in order to experience an array of different subjects ahead of choosing their GCSE option choices after Christmas in Year 9. These subjects are:

Mathematics
English Language and Literature
A Modern Foreign Language
Biology, Physics and Chemistry
Geography, History and RS
Art, Drama and Music
Design Technology
Physical Education
A Foundation Project Qualification (FPQ - certificated by AQA)
Either a second MFL OR a rotation of Computer Science, Global Affairs and Pathways (Careers)

We know for some pupils, they really thrive and appreciate studying a second language, whilst some do not. If your child wants to continue studying two languages then they can choose to, but if they'd prefer to focus on just one language instead then this is also possible and instead they will study a carousel of Computer Science, Global/Current Affairs and Pathways.
