How to ask for support with a task
It is very important that you read all the instructions before asking for support.
- Explain what you have done up to the point at which you got stuck.
- Identify which instruction you are stuck on;
- If the instructions are in a numbered list, it is the number of the instruction.
- If the instructions are in a bullet-point list, count down to the bullet you are stuck on.
- If the instructions are in paragraphs of text, count the paragraphs to the one which you are stuck on.
- Then identify which sentence in the paragraph is the point at which you got stuck.
- Explain what you did to try to become unstuck on that instruction.
- Do not use vague statements that carry no meaning, for example:
'I don't get it!'
'I don't understand what I have to do!'
'It doesn't make sense, please explain it for me!'
