Bus Transport Information

The ease of travel to and from school for day pupils is a key concern for parents; delivering a safe and reliable transport service for our day pupils is integral to the day to day running of the School. 

Over the past few years, we have expanded our reach exponentially.  Our routes are carefully planned ensuring that travel times are kept to a minimum – the further away a pupil is collected, the less drop-offs and pick-ups we endeavour to incorporate into the trip. Concerns about travelling are quickly allayed and we consistently find that pupils enjoy the social engagement the bus trips provide and not least the personal relationships forged with our reliable, caring drivers.

Once a pupil is registered for the bus service, using the School’s Firefly online Booking Form, they will automatically be registered each year unless formal notice is given.  Parents/guardians wishing to withdraw their children from the service entirely must provide a full term’s notice, by email to kmines@warminsterschool.org.uk and copied to kmeadows@warminsterschool.org.uk or forfeit the full term’s charges in lieu.

Parents/Guardians accept that bookings are for the entire school year.  The charge is fixed, based on a return journey 5 days per week regardless of whether you use the service.  The cost for a regular journey on each route is published on Firefly and is dependent on route/stop. Fares are shown for each route per term. Bus Prices are subject to change from September each year.

The School offers bus service bookings on a first come first served basis. Although the School will do its utmost to accommodate all requests for use of the service, the School has no obligation to increase capacity on any route.

Use of the bus service will be billed in arrears, by the School, on the termly fee bill. Payment should be made in line with the Schools’ terms and conditions.

Any changes to a pupil’s use of the School Bus Service (for example: frequency, route, home pick-up stop) must be made via email to kmeadows@warminsterschool.org.uk

The School reserves the right to make route alterations after publication but will provide notice of any such action.

Bookings can be made for occasional ad hoc journeys via Firefly at a cost of £7.00 each way, however this will need to be booked in advance with at least 48 hours notice. If your booking is unsuccessful, due to no space being available on that route, you will be contacted by email.

Journeys booked but not taken are non-refundable. Any journey cancelled, ad hoc, via Firefly, will not reduce the amount owed.

Siblings will receive a 5% discount for the younger child(ren) only.

Please note that the School does not make a financial surplus from this service but must ensure that all the costs are adequately covered in order to operate the service.  All  bus routes run subject to demand and understandably we require a certain number of pupils per route to be able to deliver each service.
