RULES FOR THE USE OF THE GYM (ST BONIFACE):

• Maximum number allowed in The Gym is 4 pupils.
• The Gym can be booked for 30min slots. Bookings are on Teams. You can go via Firefly link to Teams.
• The Gym is not staffed or supervised. You must only use equipment in accordance with the instructions which are displayed, and exercise within your own safe limits. You must use the equipment in a safe and responsible manner, and be aware of your own safety, and the safety of others.
• Please read the instructions on the wall for the Cardio machines before using: Treadmill & Cross Trainer.
• The Gym is videoed & recorded 24hrs a day so we can monitor users using the room & equipment safely & appropriately.
• You must only use The Gym when you are fit to do so. Any injuries must be reported to a member of the House staff immediately.
• You must not wedge open the door to The Gym. The door must be closed at all times.
• The Gym times are on FireFly & the online booking system. These may change due to unforeseen reasons.
• Faults or breakages of equipment must be immediately reported to St Boniface office & a member of staff.
• You must be dressed appropriately to use The Gym: this means sports attire and soft-soled trainers. No sliders, flip-flops, crocs or just bare feet & socks.,
• All equipment must be stored correctly when you are finished with them. Equipment must not be left in the circulation spaces
• You must take a towel with you for use during your training session.
• All equipment must be wiped down after use via the cloths & spray provided. Dirty cloths go into the grey bin next to the clean ones.
• You must observe all notices about the use of equipment which may be displayed in The Gym.
• No food or drink, other than sports water bottles, may be taken into The Gym.
• You can store your sports bottles in the fridge provided.
• You can play music through headphones or Blue Tooth to the speaker. Music played must be appropriate. The TV can be used to plug into your laptop or tablet. Anything played must be age specific.
• The Housemaster may revoke your right to use The Gym if these rules are broken, or for any other good reason. By signing the application form, you are agreeing to abide by the rules set out here.
