Glossary of key terms

This is a topic with a distinct vocabulary, you need to be able to use that terminology correctly when answering questions. Make your own glossary with detailed definitions. Your GCSE work will be a start point but you will need to extend both the glossary and the depth of your definitions; here is a start list of words, it is not definitive and you will need to extend it.

From GCSE:  Gene, Chromosome, sister chromatid, Mitosis, Meiosis, DNA, RNA, Nucleotide, complementary bases, transcription, translation, variation, diversity, biodiversity, mutation-types and causes of mutation, adaptation, selection, species, population, community.
